Long Beach, CA - Former Third District Councilman Frank Colonna announced his endorsement of Charles Parkin for Long Beach City Attorney.
“Charlie has a long and distinguished career in the City Attorney’s office,” Colonna said. “At a time when there will be significant turnover on the city council and a new mayor, Charlie brings stability to Long Beach.” Colonna represented Third District residents for eight years, and was previously the president of the Belmont Shore Business Association.
Parkin praised Colonna’s service to Long Beach, “Frank has a long history of community involvement and action in Long Beach. I respect and admire his contribution to our neighborhoods and am pleased he has endorsed my campaign for City Attorney.
Parkin joined the City Attorney’s office in 1995 as a Deputy Attorney in Litigation after serving in the Long Beach Department of Oil Properties. Since joining the City Attorney’s office, Parkin has held the titles of Deputy City Attorney, Principal Deputy and Assistant City Attorney. The Long Beach City Council appointed Parkin full-time City Attorney in July of 2013.
