7th District Councilman-Elect Roberto Uranga
Endorses Charles Parkin for City Attorney
Long Beach,CA-- Long Beach 7th District Councilman-Elect Roberto Uranga has announced his endorsement of City Attorney Charles Parkin in the June 3rd Municipal General election. Uranga joins the fifteen current or former Councilmembers who are supporting Parkin.
Uranga, currently a Trustee of the Long Beach Community College District, said of Parkin, "I have known and worked with Charlie since my earliest days with the City of Long Beach. Charlie has the experience and leadership we need in this vital position. His knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the City Attorney's Office and the diverse support he enjoys across all areas of our community make Charlie Parkin my choice on June 3rd".
"Roberto Uranga has worked tirelessly for the residents of Long Beach for over 30 years. His passion as a city employee, College Trustee and as an active, involved resident of his neighborhood will no doubt continue in this next phase of his service." said Parkin. The Long Beach City Council appointed Charles Parkin City Attorney in July of 2013. Parkin has held the positions of Deputy City Attorney, Principal Deputy and Assistant City Attorney. Parkin joined the City Attorney’s office in 1995 as a Deputy in Litigation after serving in the Long Beach Department of Oil Properties.
